Inverted Architecture Paintings by Cinta Vidal Agulló

Cinta Vidal Agulló
Cinta Vidal Agulló is a talented artist, painter and illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain. Cinta studied illustration at Escola Massana in Barcelona and when she was 16, she started working as an apprentice in Taller de Escenografia Castells Planas in St. Agnès de Malasanyes. There she worked with the whole team on many extra-large format backdrops for opera and theatre companies from all over Europe and the rest of the world. Cinta combines multiple perspectives that defy gravity, enabling the works to be rotated so the viewer can discover the hidden worlds in each painting. Painted on wooden panels with acrylic painting, Vidal refers to the paintings as “un-gravity constructions”.

I do not remember the last time I left home without a notebook to draw what I see, notebooks where I try to reflect the complexity of human relationships from different perspectives.
I never wanted to commit to a single style, even if that's the common thing to do: each new project, painting, illustration, client, idea... is thoroughly analysed and after that process, what should be told and how it should be told will arise.
